The following guide shows how to read and write the FAW Continental SID605 ECU using the OBDSTAR ECU MASTER.
Required Tools
Before getting started, prepare the following:
OBDSTAR ECU MASTER
FAW Continental SID605 (SPC564A80) ECU
Computer
High-Power DC Power Supply
USB Cable
Jumper Wires
Step 1. Connect the ECU MASTER
Connect the ECU MASTER to your computer using a USB cable.
Step 2. Select the ECU Model
Open ECU Flasher → HD → ECM.
Search for the ECU model in the upper-right corner and select FAW SID605.
Step 3. Enter BOOT Mode
Tap Start → BOOT → OK.
Step 4. Check the Wiring Information
Tap Guide to view detailed connection instructions and adapter information.
You can also tap:
ECU Image to view the ECU appearance.
Connector Pinout to check the connector wiring.
PCB Pinout to view the PCB wiring diagram.
Carefully inspect the ECU circuit board before making the connections.
Step 5. Connect the ECU
Connect the wiring according to the connector pinout diagram.
Tap Connect, then tap Yes when prompted.
Once connected successfully, the connection status will be displayed in the left panel.
Step 6. Read the ECU Data
Read INT FLASH
Tap Read INT FLASH.
You can rename the file and choose the save location before reading.
When the process is complete, the left panel will display a successful message.
Read EXT EEPROM
Tap Read EXT EEPROM.
Rename the file if needed and select the save path.
The left panel will display a successful read message after completion.
Step 7. Write the ECU Data
Write INT FLASH
Tap Write INT FLASH.
Select the data file to write.
Tap Yes when prompted.
Wait until the writing process is completed successfully.
Write EXT EEPROM
Tap Write EXT EEPROM.
Select the data file.
Wait for the writing process to complete successfully.
Step 8. Disconnect
After all operations are completed, tap Disconnect to end the session.
