How to use OBDSTAR PCF79XX adapter to unlock Audi Gen 5 key

OBDSTAR PCF79XX adapter is used to renew key for Audi 5th generation key. This post aims to show the beginners on how to use OBDSTAR PCF79XX adapter to Renew Audi 5th key.

Tip:
OBDSTAR PCF79XX adapter can't be used alone but connect to OBDSTAR X300 DP or OBDSTAR key master DP(in Green) and work together.
For your information, OBDSTAR X300 DP and key master DP share the same functions on same vehicles, the only different is the outlook and X300 DP is offered on Eshop.

Procedure:
Plug OBDSTAR X300 DP with the VCI box & PCF79XX adapter etc shown as below , ensure the indicator lights flash.

Tap X300 DP option "DP" then "Diag Program".

Tap "Other Function" then "Unlock Key".


Show "Renew key V30.01", Tap "OK".

Tap "Audi", then "5 Generation"

Options: Board 233.453.111-02, 233.453.111-05/06 & 233.453.211-01/02, go to check the number on the chip board and here tap "Board 233.453.111-05/06

Tap "315MHZ 8T0959754C"

It's really nice to have the chip wiring diagram shown as below, just follow it to do.

Get message saying "Connect the host to the PCF79XX adapter and supply the 12V power to the adapter." Tap "OK" and writing data, please wait......

Data Brushing successful, tap "OK"
