Toyota Steering Angle Sensor Repair Via OBDSTAR P50

This post will guide you on how to use the OBDSTAR P50 Airbag Reset Tool to do a Toyota steering angle sensor repair by bench.

Tools we need:

OBDSTAR P50

Main Cable

P004 Jumper

P004 Adapter

Toyota Steering Angle 89245-12040

Procedure:

Tap [Airbag Reset]

Select the correct menu based on the mark of the module.

Click [Guide] at the bottom left to check the best connection method.

Click [Back] at the bottom right, then click [Pinout] at the bottom left to check the diagram.

Then we connect the harness according to the wiring diagram.

Turn on the power of P004 and connect to ECU.

After the connection is successful, you can find that there are collision data records in the module data.

Click the [Erase Crash] button, now you need to calibrate the angle back to zero degrees.

At zero degrees, it will show a green.

Once the calibration is complete, we can fix it with a tie to prevent deviation.

When loading, make sure that the steering wheel is centered and key off before installing the angle sensor.

Establishing a connection between the motorcycle and MS80 via the cables.

Click [IMMO]>>[Americas]>>[HARLEY DAVIDSON]>>[HARLEY DAVIDSON V40.30]>>[BCM - Board Control Module]

"Could not read VIN number.

Press [OK] to continue to enter the system or press [Cancel] to end the system."

Here we choose [OK] to continue.

Click [Special Function], and read the notes carefully.

OBDSTAR D800 Modify Volvo D12 Inboard Motor Total Hours

In this article, we'll show how to modify the Volvo D12 inboard motor total hours with the OBDSTAR D800 Diagnostic Tool.

Required Tools

Connect all cables.

Procedure

Marine Diag >> Inboard >> Europe >> VOLVO >> Latest Version >> Diagnose >> D9-D16 >> OK

Before entering the system scanning, please turn off the power key, wait for 10s, and then turn on the power key.

Warning!

Set the lever to the neutral position.

Before proceeding, make sure that the lever(s) are in a neutral position. Performing operations while driving can cause personal injury.

Information!

Set the helm station in service mode.

For diagnostics of the helm station, it must be set in service mode.

Information!

The Automatic Switch Box(ASB) is not supported for ECU programming. If an ASB is used during identification, the ECU programming will be disabled.

Confirm the total engine time(H) is 12.8 hours.

Note:

Engine hours, programming >> OK

Warning!

The vehicle/boat must be in a stand still position.

As we can see, the main log total time is 12.8 hours.

Press "Start".

Engine running hours: 12.80h

Please enter a value for the new engine hours: 10 hours.

Follow these steps.

1. Perform engine stop.

2. Click OK.

To perform engine stop:

Using an ignition key - turn the key to its leftmost position.

Using a panel - press the stop button.

Note! Do not use the emergency stop.

Please read the manual for further information about engine stops.

Please power OFF the current driveline.

It might be necessary to power off all drivelines in some cases.

Follow these steps.

1. Ensure that the ignition is ON.

2. Click OK.

Now the Total Engine Hours has been changed to 10 hours.

Successfully modified.

Remember to check if the dash has been successfully modified synchronously.

Done.

After a successful connection, turn on the P004 ignition.

Click "Start >> OK >> Connect".

Switch the ignition off.

Switch the ignition on.

Now we can start to read and write INT EEPROM(ST95128), INT FLASH(TC1796), EXT EEPROM, and Maps.

*On the left side of the screen, we can see the saved path of data files.

When completing all operations, don't forget to disconnect.

OBDSTAR P50 Reset Toyota 89170-78150 Airbag on Bench

This is a quick demonstration of how to reset the Toyota 89170-78150 Airbag with OBDSTAR P50 on the bench. Read the operation below to learn how to do it.

Tool Required

P50 Airbag Reset Tool

Main cable

P004 Adapter + Jumper

Toyota 89170-78150 Airbag ECU

* Please keep P50 in charging and communication throughout the whole process.

Operation

Airbag reset >> Airbag reset >> Latest version >> Toyota 89170-78150(DENSO) R7F7016843[BENCH]

Click "Guide" & "Pinout" to check the operation instructions and wiring diagram.

After a successful connection, turn on the P004 ignition.

Click "Start".

This function is available by connecting the server, please ensure the Internet connection is normal.

This function requires a CANFD adapter, please connect the CANFD adapter before performing the corresponding function.

Click "ECU information" to check if the airbag part number is correct.

Click "Read DTC", here we can find a crash fault code.

Advanced function >> Read EEPROM(R7F7016843) >> Start

Read success.

Save the EEPROM file.

Please disconnect the 12V power supply(or turn off the ignition) and wait for 30, and then reconnect the 12V power supply(or turn on the ignition)

Click "Erase Crash".

Has the "Read EEPROM" function been executed? OK

Choose EEPROM file >> OK

Erase crash in file success.

Changes will be written through the "Write EEPROM" function, continue? OK

Write EEPROM...

Writing data success.

Please disconnect the 12V power supply(or turn off the ignition) and wait for 30s. And then reconnect the 12V power supply(or turn on the ignition).

Click "Erase DTC".

Erase DTC success.

Go back to read DTC again.

There are no crash fault codes.

The airbag reset was done!
